Job Overview
USA Dream Stone is looking for a reliable and experienced BACA Robo SawJet Operator to join our production team.
The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC or automated stone fabrication equipment and understands the importance of accuracy, quality, safety, and keeping production moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the BACA Robo SawJet to cut granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, porcelain, and other countertop materials.
- Review shop tickets, layouts, drawings, and digital cutting files before production.
- Verify material, slab, color, thickness, and job information before cutting.
- Load and position slabs safely using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Set up and run cutting programs accurately.
- Monitor cuts and make adjustments when necessary.
- Inspect finished pieces for correct dimensions, cuts, sink openings, miters, and overall quality.
- Identify potential problems before material is cut.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report equipment problems or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Coordinate with programmers, production supervisors, and other shop employees to keep jobs moving on schedule.
- Follow all company safety and quality-control procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a BACA Robo SawJet is strongly preferred.
- Experience with CNC sawjets, bridge saws, waterjets, or other automated stone fabrication equipment will also be considered.
- Stone countertop fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read shop drawings, measurements, and production paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working with computers and machine-control software.
- Ability to work safely around heavy stone slabs and production equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a production team.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who takes ownership of the machine and the quality of the pieces being produced. This person should not simply press start—they should understand the job being cut, catch potential problems before cutting, and help keep the BACA running efficiently throughout the day.
