Job Overview
USA Dream Stone is seeking a dependable and motivated Stone Yard Assistant to support daily stone yard and fabrication operations. This hands-on role assists with organizing, moving, staging, and maintaining granite, quartz, and other stone materials to help ensure production runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically active environment both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pulling and staging stone materials for daily production, recuts, and fabrication needs.
- Help move, organize, and store slab materials in the yard.
- Assist with receiving and arranging incoming stone deliveries.
- Return material drops, remnants, and unused pieces to designated inventory areas.
- Help maintain an organized and clean stone yard, warehouse, and production area.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Support the Yard Associate and production team with daily material handling tasks.
- Assist with polishing splashes or other light production support tasks as needed.
- Remove debris and ensure waste materials are stored properly.
- Follow all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in material handling, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or stone fabrication preferred.
- Forklift or slab handling experience is a plus, but training may be provided.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy materials.
- Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, physical role.
Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a non-temperature-controlled fabrication facility and outdoors in the stone yard.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
- Personal protective equipment is required.
