Sunday Salon

Sunday Salon, in Raleigh’s Iron Works district, wanted a space that felt upscale from the moment a client walked in, and durable enough to survive a full daily client schedule. We fabricated and installed Cosmopolitan Quartzite across the reception desk, a logo feature wall, self-drying stations, and the styling areas.

Quartzite gave the space what granite and quartz couldn’t match at the same time: the soft, marble-like veining clients notice immediately, plus the scratch and heat resistance a working salon needs. Every slab is one of a kind, since it’s a natural stone, so no two stations in the salon look quite the same. It also holds its color under direct sunlight, which mattered for the street-facing storefront.
