Premium marble countertops that make a statement

Timeless luxury backed by in-house craftsmanship you can trust

Marble countertops bring a level of elegance that engineered materials simply can’t match. If you’re remodeling your kitchen or bathroom in the Raleigh area and want a countertop that feels sophisticated and one-of-a-kind, marble delivers. But it’s not for everyone, and we’ll be the first to tell you that.

Marble is softer than granite and requires more care than quartz. It can be etched by acidic foods and requires regular sealing. But for homeowners who value timeless beauty over bulletproof durability, marble is worth it. At USA Dream Stone, we outline what to expect so you can make an informed decision.

Why homeowners choose marble countertops

Marble has been the gold standard in luxury design for centuries. From classic white Carrara to dramatic Calacatta with bold gold veining, marble creates a sophisticated look that works in both traditional and modern spaces.

Every marble slab is 100% natural and unique. The soft color palettes, intricate veining, and organic movement can’t be replicated by man-made materials. When you choose marble, you’re choosing a piece of the earth that no one else will ever have.
High-quality natural stone adds measurable value to your home and appeals to buyers who appreciate premium finishes. It’s a statement piece that makes a lasting impression.

Our marble selection

We import premium marble slabs directly from Italy, Turkey, Greece, and other renowned marble-producing regions. Each slab is hand-selected for quality, with minimal repairs and stunning natural variations.

Popular options include:

  • Carrara marble countertops: Soft white and gray tones with subtle veining; classic Italian marble
  • Calacatta marble: Bright white with bold, dramatic gold or gray veining
  • Statuario marble: Pure white with striking gray veining
  • Black marble countertops: Rich, dark tones with white or gold veining

How to clean marble countertops

Marble needs gentle, consistent care to stay beautiful for decades.

Daily Cleaning

Use warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner designed for natural stone. Avoid vinegar, bleach, and lemon-based products.

Marble should be sealed 2-4 times per year. Sealing slows absorption and gives you time to wipe up spills before they penetrate the stone.

Wipe up acidic liquids (wine, coffee, citrus) immediately to prevent etching and staining.

Marble develops a patina over time. Some homeowners love the lived-in character; others prefer a more pristine look. Understanding this upfront helps you decide if marble fits your lifestyle.

What to expect with marble countertops

Etching, staining, and patina

Marble is softer and more porous than granite or quartz. Acidic substances like lemon juice and wine can dull the surface and leave permanent marks. Marble can absorb liquids if not sealed properly.

Some homeowners embrace marble’s patina as part of its charm. Others prefer materials that stay pristine with less effort. We help you weigh the trade-offs so you can make the right choice.

Where marble works best

Marble is stunning in the right applications:

We don’t recommend marble for outdoor kitchens or high-traffic kitchen prep areas.

Marble vs. other countertop materials

Marble vs. granite

Granite is harder and requires less maintenance. But marble offers softer colors and more refined veining for a classic aesthetic that granite can’t match.

Quartz is non-porous, stain-resistant, and low-maintenance. Marble is 100% natural and one-of-a-kind.

Cultured marble is a man-made product that mimics natural marble but lacks the depth and variation of the real thing.

Marble countertop pricing and value

Marble pricing varies based on rarity, veining, slab thickness, and color. Italian Calacatta costs more than standard Carrara. Bold, dramatic veining commands higher prices.

Marble is a luxury investment. It may cost more upfront and require more care than other materials, but it adds instant elegance that increases your home’s value. Marble countertops create a luxurious aesthetic that never goes out of style.
